Did you know there are more than 120 Lifeline shops in communities across Queensland, bringing in vital funds to support our 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Line? And that volunteering at a Lifeline shop changes lives?
At Lifeline shops, we have nearly 2,500 volunteers, generously offering their time and skills, from designing window displays to providing friendly customer service. It takes all ages and skill levels to ensure our shops look great and run smoothly. It’s a chance for you to brush up on your retail skills, learn something new, and help strengthen your local community. But remember, just a couple of hours a week for you could be life-changing to people in crisis.
If you think you’d like to take up some volunteer work at your local Lifeline shop, we gratefully welcome new volunteers every day.
Our retail volunteers are often the public face of Lifeline, offering warm and friendly service. We offer a range of days and times, with many of our shops open seven days a week.
Available activities are as diverse as the people who fill them, with openings in shops, warehouse and the online op shop, including:
It’s a great opportunity to meet new and wonderful people, build confidence, gain valuable retail experience, learn new skills, boost your CV and improve your communication skills! Plus, every minute you give helps us support life.
